On Friday, February 14, 2020, the DE State and New Castle County Chambers’ Joint Military Affairs Committee would like to invite you to join us at the Delaware Air National Guard base for our annual “State of the Guard” briefing.
The morning will include briefing with information about the current missions and operations of the Guard. The Delaware National Guard leadership team will share information about upcoming projects, current missions and activities. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to show support and gratitude to the 2,700 men and women who serve our state and nation in the Delaware National Guard!
The State of the Guard Briefing is open to the public. The cost to participate is $10 per person. To join us, DSCC and NCCCC members and the public should visit the one event link provided below and register for the event.
The deadline for Registration is Monday, February 3. Due to security requirements for base access, each attendee will need to provide: Full Name, Date of Birth, and Driver’s License Number/State.

Opportunity for Veterans to share valuable feedback to VA leadership
ELSMERE, DE – The Wilmington VA Medical Center (VAMC) will host a Veteran Resource Benefits Fair and Veteran Town Hall meeting on July 25, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Education and Resource Center (Bldg. 5), at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, Delaware. The event allows veterans an opportunity to receive information about the VA and provide valuable feedback about VA services.
At the fair, veterans can receive information about VA programs, enroll for VA health care, and have questions answered about VA disability claims. Representatives from the medical center and counselors from the Veterans Benefits Administration Regional Office (VBARO) will be on-hand to assist and answer questions.
Veterans enrolling for VA health care should bring a copy of their DD-214 or other proof of military service.
