Youth Challenge Academy

Virtual Info Sessions for next Youth ChalleNGe class

Delaware National GuardThe National Guard’s Youth ChalleNGe program is for high school dropouts, those no longer attending, and those failing in high school.

The Youth ChalleNGe program is a highly structured military styled, non-traditional educational environment that integrates training, mentoring, tough love, and diverse educational and extracurricular activities. This program is an excellent opportunity for students that cannot conform to a traditional learning environment and are willing to learn but need discipline.

The Delaware National Guard is offering 10 seats in the upcoming Class 56.

There is no cost for tuition, room, or meals. The start date for the next class is March 29, 2021. Interested candidates should apply by February 28, 2021. Take the first step to see if ChalleNGe is right for you – attend a Virtual Info Session during February – see flyer for dates/times/links. If you are unable to attend an Info Session, contact Ms. Hughes to schedule a private appointment.

Food Bank of Delaware – Healthy Pantry Center

Food Bank of Delaware directly distributes EMERGENCY food to the public through the Healthy Pantry Center. Participants may receive assistance every 14 days. 

Pantry hours are:

Please park near the loading ramp in the back of the building and someone will come out to your vehicle. 
  • Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Third Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The pantry will be closed from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. for restocking 

DE Driver License or DE State ID will be required for proof of identification. If address on your ID does not match your current living address, please bring a utility or other bill or leasing agreement.
