Registration open for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Classes – statewide!
Classes are open to all DNG members, our Families, our Volunteers, and the community.
ASIST is a 2-day, intensive suicide intervention skills-training workshop aimed at those who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. ASIST provides practical training and is suitable for anyone in a caring role or working with vulnerable people, from teenagers upwards. ASIST is the Army-approved intervention training for Suicide Intervention Officers (SIOs) and Gatekeepers (personnel most likely to come in contact with suicidal
persons).

Smyrna Readiness Center
Mar 6-7
Georgetown Readiness Center.
The 2-day Workshops are Wed-Thu, 0830-1630 hours. You must attend BOTH days.
Pre-registration is required to attend.
For DEARNG Soldiers only: Open to AGR & M-Day personnel. Command chain approval is required to enroll. Funding available through J9. Priority is given to unit’s Suicide Intervention Officers (SIO), so they meet training requirements under their DAO.
