DOVER – Beth Rosebrooks, Community Engagement Director of Team RWB (Red, White and Blue) will serve as guest speaker at the Delaware Veterans Coalition’s bi-monthly meeting on Monday, July 23, at 7 p.m. at FOP Lodge #3, 1584 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover.
A Navy veteran, she served during the Cold War as an Ocean Systems Technician Analyst within the IUSS (Integrated Undersea Surveillance System) as part of the nation’s anti-submarine warfare effort.
RWB’s nationwide mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. Team RWB has two chapters in Delaware, one above the canal (Team RWB Northern Delaware) and a Kent and Sussex chapter (Team RWB Dover). Their bright red shirts with the white and blue eagle are often seen at local 5k races, volunteering at community events or just walking briskly through Brecknock Park in Camden every Saturday morning carrying Old Glory with pride.
