The National Guard’s Youth ChalleNGe program is for high school dropouts, those no longer attending, and those failing in high school.
The program is a highly structured military styled, non-traditional educational environment that integrates training, mentoring, tough love, and diverse educational and extracurricular activities.
The Youth ChalleNGe Academy is a 17-1/2 month program that offers at-risk youth the opportunity to get a GED after a 22-week in-resident program located in Laurel, MD. This program is an excellent opportunity for students that cannot conform to a traditional learning environment and are willing to learn but need discipline. The Delaware National Guard is offering 15 seats in the upcoming class. There is no cost for tuition, room, or meals.
The start date for the next class is July 15, 2018. Interested candidates should apply by June 15, 2018.
Program requirements are as follows:
Age: 16-18 years old
Legal: No violent or felony offenses and cannot currently have charges pending
Mental: No history of mental disorders
At-risk students: Students who dropped out or are in the process of dropping out of high school.

The Power Breath Meditation Workshop is a mind-body program that emphasizes techniques to build resiliency. It offers practical breath based tools that decrease stress, anxiety, anger, and sleep problems resulting in improved overall wellbeing.
Here’s what some participants say about the Workshop…
“Beautifully taught and life-changing. Offers life-long tools enabling you to face any crisis, hardships or challenge. Lucky me for having the privilege of participating.”
“I am a Vietnam Combat Vet. I highly recommend the Power Breath Workshop to all vets. The course is effective for dealing with combat civilian life stressors. You learn through breathing practices to slow down, get in touch with yourself and gain a measure of inner peace.”
“I am calmer, less anxious, more centered and able to interact less reactively with intimates. I am feeling more spiritually connected to others and to a higher Power. Remarkable that attention to the breath can be the royal road to a greater sense of well-being and interpersonal harmony.”
