Alpha Gamma Xi Military Sorority, Inc. is meant to serve women veterans through a program called S.H.E.R.O. (Sorors Helping to Excel and Restore Others).
The event goal is to raise awareness to support the S.H.E.R.O. Program – which is our initiative to help empower and enrich the lives of our women veterans that may be displaced or in need, through philanthropic actions. AGXi Sorority, Inc. will be partnering with a variety of organizations that focus on veterans in order to fulfill our goals of Stewardship and Service. Through our goals and initiative, we hope to not only impact the lives of our veterans, but those of our members by giving them monthly opportunities to serve the community and making a positive impact in the lives of those around them.

We are entering the third session of an exciting program for youth in Delaware to participate in:
The Capital Guardian Youth Challenge Academy in Laurel, MD.
As part of this initiative we have a mentor component in which anyone may serve as mentors over the 5-1/2 month Residential Phase and the 12-month Post Residential Phase (17-1/2 months total). All mentors participate in a 4-hour mentor training conducted by the Capital Guardian Youth Challenge Academy staff.
We are currently seeking 15 mentors (possibly more) for the next class which will start in July 2017. The applicants will need mentors to encourage and support them during the residential phase and upon completion of the Youth ChalleNGe program. They will have the opportunity to pursue a college degree, seek employment or join the military.
We hope that you will consider mentoring a cadet. Click the button below to download the mentor application packet for your reference. All mentors are required to get a DC background check.
